With close to two decades of real-world experience working in technical positions for software companies in the Silicon Valley, Kurt Raymond founded Raymond Rent-A-Nerd in June of 2001. Our mission is to provide customer-centered, expert computer assistance to clients in the Four Corners region.
We have the largest and most experienced computer service team in the Pagosa area, with a full lineup of technicians and administrative staff in the office to serve you. The Nerds offer over 30 years of combined experience in the computer services industry, advanced degrees in Computer Science, and important certifications including SonicWall Certified System Administrator. We strive to have a live person answer your phone call during regular business hours, and our highly qualified on-staff technicians enable us to respond to service requests in a timely manner.

Staff
Kurt Raymond, president, holds a BA in
Computer and Information Sciences from the University of
California Santa Cruz. He has held positions in Technical
Support and Tech Support Management, Technical Training, and
Account Management. He is a Microsoft Small Business Specialist
/ Microsoft Certified Professional.
Lois Lee, office administrator, is usually
your first level of contact with Raymond Rent-A-Nerd. She has a
strong background in computer fundamentals, bookkeeping, and
office software over the past 16 years. She supports the
technicians by coordinating schedules, ordering parts, and
generally keeping things organized.
Frank Simbeck, senior technician, holds an
AAS in Computer and Information Systems and certificates in C++,
Visual Basic, and Java programming as well as Web Page
Development and UNIX System Administration from Aims Community
College, Greeley, CO. He brought four years of technical
experience in the Army upon joining our team in 2004. He is a
Microsoft Small Business Specialist / Microsoft Certified
Professional.
James Kolkau, Computer Consultant, holds a
CompTIA A+ Remote Desktop certification. He joined our team in
2009 with 10 years experience in hardware and software support
in Apple products and also Microsoft products. He is our
resident Apple/Mac expert.
Raymond Rent-A-Nerd has the technical and
professional experience to help you be successful with the

Biography
Kurt and his wife Lisa Raymond moved to Pagosa Springs from
California in 1996, to settle down and raise a family. They enjoy the small-town lifestyle that Pagosa offers.
So, are they really nerds? Let’s just say that nerdiness is in the mind of the beholder…
